Alajuelense Signs New Brazilian Midfielder Yvanilton Raimundo de Almeida Costa

The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – La Liga Deportiva Alajuelense, one of the most popular soccer clubs in Costa Rica, has signed the Brazil’s Yvanilton Raimundo de Almeida Costa to strengthen their midfield.

“I am very grateful to Alajuelense for opening their doors to me. This is a unique opportunity and I promise to give my best,” said Yvanilton today on the team’s website.

Yvanilton Raimundo de Almeida Costa is a 30-year midfielder and was hired for one year with an option to extend his contract.

The Brazilian is coming from the Gremio Metropolitano Series D in Brazil and is the first signing by Alajuelense for the summer tournament of Costa Rican football, which starts in a couple of weeks.

In addition, Alajuelese is seeking two other foreign reinforcements to face the CONCACAF tournament where they will play against D.C. United in the quarterfinals in February. (ACAN-EFE)
