    Colombia FARC and Government Resume Negotiations

    Latin America News – The government of Colombia and members of the rebel group Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) peace talks resume Tuesday.

    The meeting will take place in the capital of Cuba, Havana, where two weeks ago both parties reached an agreement on agricultural policy.

    Now talks discuss how to incorporate the FARC politics. Hopes are high that they wikll if finally reach an agreement after five decades of conflict.

    There will be another three points to discuss of the five issues identified agenda for negotiations: cessation of hostilities, the drug trade and the possible creation of a truth commission.

    Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos said he wants in 2013 to complete the peace process.
