    If you still have no plans for this weekend this information will interest you, as the Ministry of Culture has a number of activities to share with family and friends.

    Among the range of options, Concert Band music has a pirate adventure with the National Theatre Company, as well as dozens of shows and outdoor activities, with the “Fall in love with your city” program.

    Bands in honor of the Day of Music

    Music, bands, and concerts of San José and Alajuela will ring in unison at the Cathedral of Alajuela and in the gardens of the National Museum of Costa Rica. “A two bands in one” will be held in honor of the Festival of Music.

    One of the concerts will occur on Sunday June 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the gardens of the National Museum.

    Admission is free.

    A pirate adventure in the Theater 1887

    Music, stories and much joy- allow 6 pirates to put on a play for all ages in the show “Boat, Paper, Pirate” by the Project Stage Company and Juan Storyteller, winner of the “Producciones Concerted” competition of the National Theatre Company .

    The staging tells the story of several individuals tired of living in a world where cell phones control their lives, so they decide to put aside the technology and embark on a magical quest that transforms them into pirates with many adventures.

    This show is presented from June 25th to July 17th with functions on Saturdays at 4:00 pm and Sundays at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm at the Teatro 1887 located at the National Culture Center (Cenac).

    The show is for the whole family and the general ticket price is ¢5,000; ¢2,500 for seniors and students with an ID.

    Urban sports in “Fall in love with your city”

    The “Fall in love with your City” program will open the space to practice extreme sports 2: skateboarding and parkour.

    In addition, the parks will become dance floors outdoors, with samples of folk dancing, swing, Afro-Brazilian dance and hula hula, among other genres. There will also be traditional games, competitions, dance shows, riso therapy, theater and more. Finally, this new edition also extends the invitation to household pets.

    Meanwhile, the central parks of San Marcos de Tarrazú, Santa María de Dota, San Pablo de Leon Cortes and Paradise of Carthage await you on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June with all the cultural and artistic offers of “Fall in love with your City” which provides activities from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
