Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez was seen as strong and enthusiastic on a television appearance over the weekend. Chavez having under gone several cancer treatments in Cuba, has been trying to come against ongoing speculation about his health.
Chavez spoke for several hours, not mentioning health, while addressing the cabinet that was broadcast live.
Last week, Dan Rather described Chavez’s health status as “dire”.
Chavez has been in charge of oil-rich Venezuela since 1999. His outspoken, ant-American views toward has isolated him throughout the Americas.
