The National Seismological Network (RSN) captured a new eruption of the Turrialba Volcano with one of their thermal cameras, which occurred at 10:15 p.m. on Friday.
According to the report of Mauricio Mora, the emanation of ash is maintained at this time.
“The winds blow towards the southwest at this time, according to the meteorological station of the IMN (National Weather Institute) at the top of the volcano,” said the specialist.
In addition, the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVISCORI) reported that there is a strong smell of sulfur in the sectors of Escazu and San Isidro of Heredia.
