Ronaldinho Brings His Magic to Costa Rica

He will be playing in an exhibition game

Ronaldinho Gaucho, one of the best all-time Brazilian players will be at the National Stadium in La Sabana, San Jose next August 5 at 8 pm.

Ronaldinho, who once played for Barcelona, Milan and Paris Saint Germain, arrived in Costa Rica on Monday. The media waited for him at Juan Santa Maria airport. As always, he showed his smiling face and talked to the news reporters in a cheerful way.

Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, best globally known as Ronaldinho, former #10 of Brazil, said that during his first visit to Costa Rica, he had a lot of fun and it was an amazing experience for him. “I felt like at home, people are respectful and they couldn’t treat me better.”

The reason for this visit is a friendly match with other 36 Costa Rican ex-soccer players, some of which are Pablo Izaguirre, Walter Centeno and Mauricio El Chunche.

According to Murillo of Full Party Events, the company that will be holding the event, Ronaldinho will play with two teams with the shirt number 10, but the names of those teams are not defined yet. However, they will be composed of players from Alajuelense, Herediano and Saprissa.

Prior to this, some Costa Rican showbiz members will be participating in a preliminary game that is planned to last 30 minutes. Some of them are Juank Galindo, Italo Marenco, Alfaro Gallina, and La Kuarta. This game is due to start at 6.50pm.

Ronaldinho won two World Cups and a Ballon d’Or. His footwork skills and drilling ability made him popular. He was really good at using tricks and giving no-look passes on the pitch. He is leaving Costa Rica on August 6th.
