The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The peak season for Costa Rica’s tourism sector officially begins on December 15, but most companies will increase their rates starting December 1.
Meanwhile, there’s still plenty of discount promotions and offers you can take advantage of, many of which are part of a sightseeing program by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT).
Tatiana Cascante, executive director of the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur), explained, said the expectation for tourist areas in the last two weeks of December is quite high; the previous year was above 80%.
Alberto Lopez, general manager of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) said that from January to September of this year, the country reported 1,940,483 international arrivals from all ports, which broke previous ICT visitation records.
It is therefore expected that the peak season for international arrivals will reach 2,500,000. (Source: Crhoy)
