The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Clothing, housewares, accessories, crafts, are just a few of the 100% Costa Rica-made products that can be acquired through a new online trading company.
This community of Costa Rican entrepreneur is called “The Cajoncito”, and they only promote and sell products stamped “Made in Costa Rica”.
The company, which went live on October 18,was born from the need to promote domestic production, as well as to have an alternative place for these purposes, said the manager of The Cajoncito, Fiorella Miranda.
The goal of this company is to allow residents of other countries to have access to the goods. However, those living in Costa Rica can also purchase products and have them delivered to their door, said Miranda.
The Cajoncito also won first place in the category of services in the XII A-Entrepreneurs Fair 2013, an event held at the National University for their innovation, originality in the design proposal and the responsible use of materials.
Currently, there are over 100 applications from Costa Rican artists who hope to be part of the company, said Miranda. (Amelia Rueda)
