The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – American film musical hits will sound at the National Theatre at 12:10pm everyday.
The show is called Let’s Go The movies! and will be presented at the National Theater during the space called “Theater at Noon” by mezzo-soprano Stacy Chamblin and pianist Manuel Matarrita.
For 40 minutes they will lead the audience through a sound journey of ten songs from movies like Casablanca, Chicago, Titanic or La Vie en Rose.
“The songs that I will interpret are songs that I have wanted to sing since I started my career, which had not sung because I normally sing opera” said Chamblin, who has participated in productions such as La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, characterizing Aninna, or Trouble in Tahiti by Leonard Bernstein, in the title role of Dinah.
The entry fee costs ¢ 1,500 for the public in general, and ¢ 750 for students and senior citizens. They can be purchased at the Theater´s ticket booth, which is open from Monday to Saturday from 9 am 4 pm, by phone at 2010-1111, or online at www.teatronacional.go.cr
