Equifax Inc., one of three major providers of credit scores in the U.S., said Tuesday that it has bought Costa Rican credit reporting company Datum.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Equifax said the deal confirms its strategy to grow internationally.
Datum is based in San Jose. Equifax already has a customer service and technology service center in Costa Rica that employs more than 500 people.
On Aug. 2 Equifax bought DataVision Resources, which provides data and business services to the mortgage, insurance and financial services industries.
Equifax shares fell 45 cents to close at $30.57 on Tuesday.
