The director of Health Surveillance of the Social Security Fund (CCSS) Rodrigo Marín, reported 323 patients recovered from the Coronavirus, equivalent to 45% of the total cases registered. The government reiterated the measures for opening activities with little impact on the agglomeration of people under strict sanitary measures and informed that the confinement continues.
Marín reported that the medical status of the elderly patient transferred yesterday to the Specialized Patient Care Center with COVID-19 (CEACO or Cenare), is that he’s in good health. Regarding the sanitary intervention of the Carlos María Ulloa nursing home, in San José, he reported that it was necessary to carry out 320 tests and the result was 276 negative, the other results will be given during the afternoon.
Marín highlighted the rapid intervention of the CCSS staff to isolate the patient who tested positive, “who was transferred preventively and in good health,” to the Specialized Center of COVID-19. He clarified that the sanitary intervention of the nursing home made it necessary to carry out the tests on all the elderly residents, staff and the people who had contact with them.
The health authorities have pointed out as positive data the evolution of the Pandemic in Costa Rica, which keeps the number of new daily infections low, as well as the number of deaths -6 adults- and the growing number of patients who have overcome the disease and are recovering satisfactorily, a figure that these moments is 45% of the registered cases.
