[TCRN] – Costa Rica surfers are hoping to improve the achievements at this year’s Play Colorado World Masters Surfing Championships in Nicaragua.
You can expect to see some of the world’s best at this year’s World Masters Surfing Championships with 35+ top rung surfers competing for individual and national team results.
Playa Colorado Nicaragua, waves are tide sensitive and close out closing out. It’s a fast, down-the-line break not the perfect set of features for contest surfing maneuvers.
Opening ceremony will be held July 14 and surfers from around the globe are already on the scene.
The tournament will run through Sunday, July 22, when the finals and ceremony will take place. Forecasts call for medium-sized short swell that could make for good surfing conditions during the first part of competition, but then drop off in the middle of the week. The final weekend of competition forecast is uncertain, but hopes are high for good conditions.
The Costa Rican Surf Federation (FSC) said that expectations are very high this year because of the Costa Rican talent in the lineup.
In recent years the FCS has given Costa Rica surfers great support outside of Costa Rica borders.
