The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, is meeting with an emergency Cabinet to discuss the worst riots that Brazil has seen in two decades.
On Thursday, more than a million people demonstrated across the country against poor public services.
There was violence in many cities and police used tear gas and rubber bullets to clear the streets.
Thursday’s demonstrations were the largest to date in a move that seemed to emerge from nowhere in the last week.
Increasing protests led to President Dilma Rousseff to cancel a trip to Japan and convene the emergency meeting.
