The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Costa Rican film Por Las Plumas, by Ernesto Neto Villalobos, did not receive the award expected at the 61 ° Film Festival San Sebastian, but left a good impression on film critics. The German director Benedikt Erlingsson was the winner of Kutxa-New@s Director@s with his film Of Horses and Men.

The winner of the Golden Shell was Mariana Rondon from Venezuela with her movie Pelo Malo. Still, Por Las Plumas left a good impression on its European premiere. The Film critic of Spanish Television Javier Tolentino wrote that the film was “as honest as a pretty heavy day”.

Likewise, the Spanish news portal film Cinestel published a favorable review of the film. Por las Plumas was first seen at the International Film Festival in Toronto, and will also be presented at the Festival of Vancouver. It will be released in Costa Rica on October 3. LN
