Jose David Coste, aged 12 years, will be starring a movie about Keylor Navas’s childhood and career. Coste, who lives in Perez Zeledon, has been studying acting for six years and is currently the best student in his school, Colegio del Valle.

Victor Barriga, the movie’s producer had powerful reasons to choose this boy over others.

“Physically, Jose David looks like Keylor when he was a child, although that’s not actually important. We chose this boy because he’s very outgoing and also because he’s studying acting at Colegio del Valle in Perez Zeledón. Besides that, he’s going really well with high grades in all the school subjects” – Barriga stated.

He also said that Jose David’s age is perfect to perform kid Keylor. The little body has been receiving some goalkeeping training since he doesn’t practice soccer indeed.

According to some reporters, Jose David looks committed and optimistic about the project.

“I’m surprised at the way Jose has taken up this challenge. We met him some days ago, and he is really optimistic about the movie. I can’t think of anybody else to replace him, he’s the right one to play Keylor” – a reporter said.

The name of the actors who will play old Keylor and his wife will be revealed on June 8th at a press conference.

The movie centers on how a boy, who used to daydream of playing for Real Madrid, managed to become one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
