Costa Rica Selected for Feature Spots on HGTV”][/caption]Known as a “little piece of paradise” because of its beautiful beaches, rivers, and amazing wildlife, Costa Rica has become famous over the years for being a dream location for people all over the world.
As a matter of fact, the country was recently chosen by the program “Live Here, Buy This,” a new real estate series produced by HGVT, which takes different Canadian families to their dream locations and shows them the properties they can purchase in that country for the same value as their homes in Canada.
HGTV (Home & Garden Television) is a cable television channel that operates in the U.S. and Canada, broadcasting a variety of home-and-garden improvement, maintenance, renovation, craft and remodeling shows.
Costa Rica will be shown in three of the episodes, as three of the Canadian families interviewed for the show selected Costa Rica as their dream destination to live abroad.
Rebecca Clower, from Blue Water Properties of Costa Rica, was responsible for meeting with the HGTV crew and hosts to select the homes that would be featured on each episode.
Each family had a budget in mind and a preferred type of property. Thus, they were shown several properties that were best suited for them in the towns of Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal, Potrero, and Manuel Antonio. Clower said that some of these properties were beach condos and houses ranging in price from $300,000 to $1, 6 million.
In addition, each episode also features interviews with Ticos and expats, so they can share with the families their experiences of living in Costa Rica. The episodes highlight natural sites and activities that can be done in the area too.
Costa Rica was chosen by HGTV because it has consolidated as one of the most popular touristic destinations among Americans and Canadians and one of the best places to invest in real estate in Latin America.
The episodes featuring Costa Rica will be aired in Canada and the U.S. this fall.
