Officers of the Drug Control Police (PCD) today detained seven individuals suspected of transporting at least a ton of cocaine in two boats.
According to Ricardo Gonzalez, press officer of the Ministry of Public Security, at 3pm today, the police action took place in Matapalo Playa Linda, in the region of Aguirre, Puntarenas.
Although the area is under intense investigation by the police, which have already seized two vehicles and two boats, the search is ongoing and may uncover more drugs leading to further arrests.
