    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Costa Rica Women’s National Team continues its preparations in the United States for the Pre-World Cup category, which starts next week.

    Coached by Carlos Avedissian, they managed to defeat the Air Force Academy team two to zero.

    The goals came from Wendy Acosta in the 12th minute, while Raquel Rodriguez sealed the win at 81 minutes.

    This is the second national victory in North American. On Monday, a solitary goal from Cristin Granados beat the Colorado Storms.

    The team will debut next Thursday, October 16 against Mexico at 6:30 pm in Sporting Park, Kansas City. (Crhoy)
