The Dome Drive Thru Restaurant in Uvita de Osa will host the 2nd Annual Dome Music Festival on April 28th, 2012.  After last year’s one day Festival in June to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Dome Drive Thru proved a local success, owners Mike Allen and Brent Thomas agreed that Uvita needed a yearly dose of the best music around.

Best Time Ever Productions has brought national and international talent to this year’s Dome Music Festival.  DJ Philippe Chapuy has a large local following and will unite drum and bass together with house and dance music to liven up the crowd.  Ojo de Buey from San Jose will headline the event, drawing in people with their smooth latin reggae fusion and sending out positive dance vibes to listeners.  Jami Sun from South Carolina, USA is a original rock ‘n roller, who possessed a rare combo of “likeability” and remarkable guitar playing.   To polishing off the line up is The Ben Fagan Trio, also from South Carolina, who have become well known in the Costa Ballena area and will bring a danceable island funk flavor to the Festival.  Jami Sun and The Ben Fagan Trio will be touring together after the festival; their next stop is The Jazz Café in Escazu.

Admission to The Dome Music Festival is 5,000 Colones or $10 per entry per person.  Drink and food tickets will be available for purchase at the gate. The Dome Drive Thru Restaurant is located in the center of Uvita, along the Costanera Highway. Be sure to get there early to enjoy the 5-7pm happy hour featuring the opening musical performances and drink specials!
