    This March is a month of colors and beer! All across the country people will be enjoying their summer right.

    March 12: Head down to Escazu next week to experience the best of craft brews in Costa Rica. The 5th Annual Artisanal Beer Festival will take place on Avenida Escazu next week. Tickets are available online, and run ₡15,000 presale or ₡20,000 at the door. Once inside, guests will be allowed unlimited beer tastings, entrance to special presentations, access to beer guides and even a commemorative cup.

    Life in Color

    March 12: Be a part of the world’s largest paint party from right here in Costa Rica. Life in Color San Jose is the Costa Rican location for Heineken’s worldwide event and will feature English DJs NERVO — producers of music for Ke$ha, The Pussycat Dolls and Miley Cyrus. Tickets can be purchased online.

    To be clear, Life in Color will actually be taking place in San Rafael, Alajuela. Organizers recommend attendees enter “Campo Zacatal Costa Rica” into Waze to find the location.

    Costa Rican Indian Association’s Holi Festival

    March 19: According to ancient Hindu tradition, Holi festival is celebrated on a full moon prior to the vernal equinox. The date varies from year to year, but the theme remains the same: the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, love over hate. It’s a time to repair old relationships and start a new, all will lots and lots of color!

    Here in Costa Rica, the Indian Association will be hosting a Holi Festival in Club Recreo Sebana in San Antonio de Belen, Heredia. The event will run from 10am until 3pm. Adults pay ₡12,000, children pay ₡6000. Discounts are available to for Association members. Colors and a drink include.

    March 26-27: Their Facebook event asks: “Do you want to enjoy a night of good music, many artisanal beers — both national and international — and have a good time with your friends?” We’re going to go ahead and assume the answer to that question is, “yes.”

    The Tamarindo Beerfest will feature more than 60 different types of beer, accompanied by delicious food trucks, music and of course, the natural beauty of Tamarindo Beach. Tickets are just ₡7,500 and can be purchased online.
