The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Banco Popular has announced that all their offices will operate on a regular schedule until Tuesday, December 23. From this date they will be open at different times or totally closed, depending on their proximity to the beginning of the year.
For example, on Wednesday, December 24 all bank branches will be open until 3 in the afternoon, but locations with with evening hours or located in malls will be closed; on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th all Banco offices will work on a normal schedule; on Wednesday the 31st all Banco offices located in the central canton of San Jose as well as those with evening hours and located in shopping centers will be closed. The offices outside of this jurisdiction shall serve until 3 pm. (A full schedule can be found below.)
“It is important to remind our customers and the general public that Banco Popular offers the option of ATMs and automatic banking through the 2202-2020 IVR Banking Easy number, where you can check the balances on your savings and credit cards,” said Victor Rodriguez, Director of Retail Banking.
Also, through the website www.bancopopularcr.com, people may consult statements and movements of their accounts in both dollars and colones, their lending operations, make transfers between and make payments to loans and bonds , credit cards and payment of public and private services in a quick and timely manner.
For other inquiries you can get information for free at 800-2570422, their Card Call Center, which is open 24 hours 365 days. All offices will operate on a regular schedule after Friday, January 2, 2015.

Wednesday, Dec. 24: All offices open until 3pm expect for in shopping malls
Thursday, Dec. 25: Holiday! All closed
Friday, Dec. 26: Closed offices include BP Total Catedral, BP Total Paseo Colón, all Joissar, Plaza Víquez, Centro de Crédito around Alhajas and Mata Redonda for the National Tope
Saturday, Dec. 27: All offices closed
Sunday, Dec. 28: Normal hours
Monday, Dec. 29: Normal hours
Tuesday, Dec. 30: Normal hours
Wednesday, Dec. 31: All offices in the Central Canton of San José will be closed as will those located in shopping centers. Offices that do not belong to Central San José work until 3 in the afternoon.
