The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Visitors are taking advantage of the last weekend before school starts to enjoy the Festival de Las Mulas held in Parrita, Costa Rica.
The Association for the Welfare of Parrita (ASOBIPA), who are the organizers of the event, offered a wide range of fun activities for the entire family.
The agenda includes a recreational bicycle race, bullfights, carnival rides and exhibition of agricultural machinery.
For lovers of nature, the festival has a display of ornamental plants species in the area.
Also as part of the activities, there is tractor rally and cuisine contests of the area with the aim of spreading the culture and customs of the inhabitants of this part of the country.
For next Saturday, February 15th, ASOBIPA plans to make the announcement at 11:00 am for participants who have won prizes ranging from heifers and ponies to gear. The close of business on Sunday the 16th is when the mule race will be held, also at 11:00 am.
The Festival de Las Mulas was born over fifteen years ago as a fun option for farmers on the Sunday after parties were organized to raise funds for various charities in the community of Parrita, Puntarenas.
