This steady stream of international performers reaffirms San José as an essential stop on the year’s most prominent Latin American tours.
Economic Impact and Tourism Boost
The high concentration of events benefits not only the live music industry, but also creates a direct multiplier effect across the local economy:
- Hotel and Tourism Industry: A substantial rise in hotel occupancy is projected across the San José Metropolitan Area and surrounding regions, driven by fans traveling from outer provinces and neighboring Central American countries.
- Commerce and Gastronomy: Restaurants and local businesses around Mata Redonda and Paseo Colón expect heavy foot traffic and high demand on show dates.
- Job Creation: Logistics for each event will generate thousands of temporary positions in setup, security, transportation, and hospitality services.
Urban Mobility and Operations
Given the massive attendance expected for each date, local authorities and Traffic Police will deploy special mobility operations around the La Sabana sector. Traffic control measures are planned along Route 27 and the park’s perimeter, along with increased frequency on interurban public transit routes to ensure smooth access.
