The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Crossfit athletes in Costa Rica have an opportunity to compete or to just enjoy a taste of the discipline thanks to a new event called Challenge.
The event will be on September 28th at the Panamerican School Gymnasium in Lindora, an activity that aims to bring together the best exponents of the sport but in various categories and groups.
One of the spokesmen for the activity, Diego Ouellette, commented that one of the main objectives is to enjoy and encourage more of the sport in the country.
“We promise people a unique show. This is the first time we’ve organizef an event of this type, since usually only professional athletes have the opportunity to participate in international competitions, but now it’s time to do it here in Costa Rica. The location and equipment for the event is unique in the country, and the competition format of teams of 4 people will make it very entertaining for the audience,” he said.
Registrations are open, but limited, with the cost per participating team set at $240. The prize for first place is $2,000 plus additional benefits from sponsors.
