    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Franklin Rivas Mairena will retain his title as world champion for the kickboxing title he obtained in 2012 and 2013.

    Rivas, 22 and a 4-year student of Business Administration from the University of Costa Rica, attended the weekend kickboxing world championship in Orlando, United States, organized by the International Kickboxing Federation.

    The tico competed in the Bantanweight / 53.22 – 55.45 kilograms and disputed for the semifinal fought agains American Thomas Cruz-Dacanay and the final against two-time world champion James Wilson.
