The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Three fishermen, not yet identified by the authorities, were saved after the boat they were traveling in sank near Punta Mala Hermosa Beach, Quepos, reported the National Guard.

Rodolfo Murillo, Coast Guard Chief of Operations, said the men collided with some rocks and that caused the accident. The boat has not been located by officers.

The fishermen swam 300 meters to get to the beach where they were treated by the Red Cross.
