The US Dollar Rose 4.18 Colones

    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The price of the dollar today rose 4.18 colones on the Foreign Currency Market (Monex), going from 547.28 to 551.46 colones. In total, they negotiated $27.8 million.

    Of that amount, $15 million purchases were made for BCCR to meet the needs of the Public Sector.

    The remaining $12.84 million was transactions between private sector participants. Despite the increase, the Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR) did not intervene.

    During this week, the central bank intervened on Tuesday with $25.2 million and Wednesday with $16.5 million.
