The musical show was last month at the Eugene O’Neill Theater, directed by Eddie Mora.
The new compositions were: Humoradas by Sergio Delgado Rodriguez; Two String Orchestra compositions by Giancarlo Liano Pira from Guatemala; Twelve seconds by Dante Giancarlo Lina Pira, and Lealflet (Tríptico) by Daniel Garrigues Herrera.
These new pieces were chosen by a jury to be part of the “2017 Costa Rican Orchestra Concert”, promoted by the National Musical Center.
“This project started two years ago. It’s important to point out that the National Symphony has been working on the creation of new compositions. This year, we counted on different judges who came from other institutes. These people were who evaluated the musicians’ performance” – commented Eddie Mora, Musical director of the concert.
In this presentation, the young musicians played Wintu dream song, by the American composer David Dzubay, who was also a member of the jury. The concert continued until June 21st at the National Musical Center.
The tickets for the concert were for sale the same day of the event at the Eugene O’Neill Theater, located in the Costa Rican and American Cultural Center at 5pm. Price: 2 thousand colones.
