The Costa Rica News (TCRN) –Again, renowned ESPN reporter, José Ramón Fernández, spoke of Costa Rica which he defined as the “revolutionary World Cup team”.
Many are surprised by the level of the Ticos, who lead Group D, the so-called Group of Death, after defeating the historically difficult teams from Italy and England.
“FIFA, Blatter and World historians, will have no argument: Costa Rica, you have revolutionized this tournament,” Fernandez said bluntly.
With the second round against Greece, they have gone down in history as the second “Cinderella” team in CONCACAF to make it to the quarterfinals, after the United States reached it in 2002.
Costa Rica will play next Sunday at 2:00 pm in Recife.
