Costa Rica's Victory Brings Reporter to Tears

The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – “The words were being written on the keyboard with tears, in a real, human scene,” says the Brazilian Super Esportes newspaper, which celebrated the triumph of Costa Rica and the emotion that lived in Leonel Sandí journalist, one of the many Ticos reporters found in Brazil.

The article relates that this is the first time Sandí was covering a World Cup, “with a mission to write about the greatest football moment of his country. Before their eyes, they saw his fierce and charismatic enthusiasm as Costa Rica beat Greece in the Arena Pernambuco, taking them to the World Cup finals. ”

The article also mentions how Sandí while taking his notes, was spreading excitement to the whole bar press at the stadium.

“In 120 minutes, Sandí along with 4.8 million Costa Ricans were moved to tears of joy who saw it on television.”
