The Costa Rica News (TCRN) -The School of Digital Animation at Veritas University in Costa Rica was ranked as the fourth best Latin American school and 66th in the world, according to a ranking by The Animation Career Review, considered one of the most respected publications in the field of digital animation.
The University told the Animation Career Review: “The translation of the name of this institution is ‘University of Truth’. What is the truth behind its School of Digital Animation? The best way to show the truth is showing the art of its graduates and the great value of their work. Its curriculum has all kinds of drawing and design classes that they will need to improve as artists. Small school in this small country are making big impressions.”
The evaluation criteria used for this ranking were:
- In general, the quality of program, including technologies and facilities available to students.
- Consistency and quality of the animation work of students and graduates.
- Geographical advantages of the school for working in animation.
- Program reputation within the industry.
“This note is very important because it puts us comparatively level with other schools in the world. If we only consider the location of Costa Rica, there is no possibility of comparison. Therefore, the international exhibition for us is fundamental and vital,” said Irina Yébenes, director of the school.
