Costa Rican Police Confiscate Illegal Beer from Trucker

    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Police officers in Perez Zeledon, seized 6,744 units of Corona beer in the canton.

    According to the police report, at 11 pm yesterday officers were conducting a roadblock in the area known as Hawaii, when a truck was passing the area, but the weight was too much, so police investigated and made the arrest.

    Officers arrested the driver Rodríguez Gutiérrez and requested the respective transport liquor permits, which he did not have, so they proceeded to confiscate the truck load.

    Law enforcement had a total of 281 cases of beer that was seized, for a total of 6,744 units. The merchandise was left to the tax authorities.
