The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Costa Rica´s ecotourism industry, which is commited to sustainability and responsible tourism, is preparing the fourth edition of the Peace, Planet and People International Conference, to be held from November 3 to 6 at the National Auditorium of the Chilndren´s Museum.
The conference will attract speakers from the United States, New Zealand, Kenya, Peru, Bhutan and Australia , among other countries. It has been organized by the National Chamber of Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism ( CANAECO in Spanish ). Since Costa Rica is considered a leader and pioneer in sustainable tourism, it was chosen as an open space for discussion and exchange of experiences on the subject, which focuses on three issues: the environment , the role of people and their actions and decisions, and how a peaceful country without an army can help strengthen international peace.
The IV International Conference will have a theme and four subject areas associated to the four elements of earth, air, wind and fire. The focus will be to ‘ motivate and innovate ‘ , as well as to expose information on how to act upon opportunities to address the changing world. Several issues related to green economies , friendly investment, sustainable destinations, the country brand and how to expand markets and achieve greater competitiveness in the tourism sector will be addressed. Finally, the conference will also deal with trends and mechanisms to reach potential customers who face constant change and have technology and digital platforms . EF
