Costa Rica Government Reps Join Gay Rights March on the 29th

    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – José María Villalta, presidential candidate for the Frente Amplio and Ana Helena Chacón, second vice president of the Republic, were appointed leaders for the March of Diversity, to be held on Sunday, June 29th of this month.

    According to the official site of the activity, the designation responds to support for Villalta and Chacón expressed by the Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender community (LGBT), particularly in their support for different initiatives such as the recognition of property rights of this sector of the population.

    Villalta and Chacon will lead the march, which starts at the Columbus Center and ends at the Chino neighborhood.

    The event will start at 12:00 noon and is scheduled to end at 3:00 pm. The representative last year was the defender of the population, Ofelia Taitelbaum. She marched with hundreds of people and partners TNCs support diversity for operations worldwide.
