The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Good Deeds Day was celebrated on March 9 for the first time in Costa Rica, which includes more than 50 countries. Several companies organized activities to mark the day and to do positive work for society.
The INBioparque is had an event for the whole family, with face painting, inflatable castles, and more.
The Liceo de Chacarita of Puntarenas took part, too. In the school people came together to make their mark and post a positive message on the walls of the institution.
The Day Center of San Antonio de Padua lunch had bingo, dancing and plenty of activities for the whole family.
Different parts of San José like the Savannah, the Plaza de la Cultura and other parks had “happiness kits” which were be distributed by the Israeli Center. They also gave away diapers, sheets, towels and clothes for poor children.
The environment also benefited on this day because the Association of Engineers and Architects organized a recycling campaign in conjunction with the Board of Social Responsibility.
Pro Parks also had a garbage collection at Poas Volcano National Park, Carara and Manuel Antonio beach.
