The Costa Rica News (TCRN) –Brazil showed its best side in the World Cup, directed by Scolari defeating Columbia 2-1.

The first goal of the game came after a corner kick taken by Neymar, but Colombia did not give up and matched their actions.

In the snap, David Luiz arrived to put the second goal home for the Brazilians.

From that moment, Colombia, a little late, took action. James Rodriguez curled a free kick penalty shot to bring them back into the game.

But the Brazilian defense stood well, did not allow Columbia to get a second point, moving the home team into the semifinals.

Brazil will face Germany on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Belo Horizonte, in the first semifinal game.
