The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Brazil could not bury the curse of the Confederations Cup, in which the champion historically fails to win the trophy after a World Championship.

This happened throughout the previous editions of the World Cup and also now for Brazil. Luiz Felipe Scolari, who won with authority a year ago in Maracana, will not achieve the coveted World Cup after being thrashed in the semifinals against Germany (7-1) .

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, now assumed full responsibility for the historic defeat against Germany that separates the Seleção in the World Cup final and said it was the worst day of his life.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff said it was “very very sad” after the win (7-1) suffered by Luiz Felipe Scolari and his team against Germany, which pushed them out of the 2014 World Cup finals.
