Bacardi Creating New Opportunities in Costa Rica Besides a Mean Mojito

    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Bacardi company announced through a press release that they plan to hire a significant number of employees for their new service center that will be located in Costa Rica, specifically in the areas of accounting, finance and supervision.

    The operation of the firm, which will be located in Escazu, will accomplish a variety of professional and technical financial support functions for the world’s largest private spirits company.

    “There are great opportunities for the base of highly skilled and trained professionals in Costa Rica looking to join a company with a legacy of over 150 years of excellence and passion is behind everything we do,” said Kevin McNamara, Vice President and Corporate Controller for Bacardi.

    The interview process is already underway to fill key vacancies within the new service center, and it is expected that the San Jose office opens its doors in September 1, 2014. The location was chosen because of its highly skilled professional base in regard to service centers.

    “Once again we have successfully managed to capture a major investment company, thanks to the specialized talent of Costa Ricans, which is our main differentiator,” stressed Alexander Mora, Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica. “This announcement reaffirms the growing importance of the service sector in Costa Rica, which now directly employs more than 46,000 professionals.”

    “The shared services center of Bacardi is a great example of how the country is well positioned as a strategic partner for value-added operations of leading multinational companies,” said Gabriela Llobet, General Director of the Agency for Investment Promotion in Costa Rica (Cinde).

    Cinde hasn’t speciie the number of open positions at Bacardi.
