The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Colombian airline Avianca will begin operating on June 16 with daily frequency flights between Bogota and Santiago de Chile, which will double its weekly flights between the two capitals, the company said today.

With this new frequency, Avianca will have 14 weekly flights from Bogota to Santiago, besides the seven that operates between San José, Costa Rica and Chile’s capital with a stopover in Lima.

According Avianca, seven additional frequencies per week between Bogota and Santiago, which will be operated with Airbus A319 aircraft, represents a 48% increase in the supply of seats on this route, and a 27% increase in the total supply of chairs available company and from the Chilean market.

“In line with the current economic and social dynamics among the countries of the region, Avianca seeks to strengthen and optimize connectivity within Latin America through greater choices of flight schedules,” said in a statement Avianca CEO, Fabio Villegas. (EFE)
