    2015 was a year of many developments. For example, the late Gerardo Cruz drew much needed attention to the region’s continued street harassment issue. Costa Rica also gained international attention for the nation’s commitment to renewable energy. Residents of Guanacaste lent a helping hand to struggling Cuban migrants. The government passed legislature that led to a growing economy. Finally, several fundraisers set Costa Rica off towards further development.
