The Institute of Ocean Sciences said for this week we can expect two periods of high surf in Costa Rica for the Caribbean country, according to the forecast wave of July 9 to July 15, 2012.

Forecasting strong winds and waves of 2 meters to 3 meters, which is dangerous for small fishing boats and swimmers.

Meanwhile, the Pacific had high surf last weekend in Quepos and Doña Ana where tourists had to cautious of strong waves hitting the shore, and in Dona Ana was reported a death by drowning.

For Tuesday the average wave will be between 1.5 meters and 2 meters, until next Sunday.

Costa Rica Surfing is great all year round but the surfers are looking for a fantastic week, but there are caution alerts.
