The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – You can expect warm days with temperatures up to 33 degrees Celsius in Guanacaste, Puntarenas and the Southern Zone and the Central Valley will see windy nights with gusts as high as 90 km/h for the last week of the year.
The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) predicts that in the Central Valley mornings and afternoons will range between 23 and 26 degrees with no rain and the nights will be cooler and windy.
On the other hand, Guanacaste, the Central Pacific (Puntarenas) and the South Pacific (Dominical, Golfito, Jacó) will have very warm days with temperatures between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius, with no chance of rain and hot nights.
IMN meteorologist, Eladio Solano, explained that the windiest weather conditions are expected in the Central Valley (San José, Heredia, Cartago and Alajuela) and the mountainous parts of the Northern Zone (San Carlos) with some drizzle.
For the Caribbean (Limón) and the northern region (Sarapiqui and Los Chiles) wetter conditions are predicted, with rain and warm temperatures typical for the season in these areas.
Solano noted that both the Central Valley and the Pacific are entering the transition from the dry season so the days are warmer with windy afternoons without rain.
