San Jose’s Transitarte Festival Will Feature Over 160 Cultural and Artistic Activities

The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Visitors to the Transitarte 2015 festival in San José can choose from 167 artistic, cultural and recreational activities that will take place in several parks from March 13 to March 15.

The festivities will be spread among the following parks: España, Morazán, Nacional, Jardín de Paz and Paseo de los Damas.

The mayor of San Jose, Sandra García, explained that there’s a range of activities featuring some 200 artists, artisans, storytellers, singers, sculptors, poets, dancers, and more.

The National Park will feature the craft market and expression area, where some 172 artists and designers will be offering a variety of products.

There will also be workshops on recycling, making musical instruments from paper, drawing and recreational activities for older people.

In España Park, children can enjoy clowns, puppets and storytelling.

The events being held in Jardín de Paz Park will focus on the projection of Costa Rican audiovisual productions and an exhibition for the Festival of Light from the last 20 years.

Morazán Park will offer workshops on origami, painting, guitar, carved leather, night photography, singing, and creating garments, among other activities.

El Paseo will have parades, wood sculptures, sports and recreational activities for the whole family.
