The Color Run will take place on Sunday, February 16th in San Jose starting at 9:00 am in the western sector of La Sabana Metropolitan Park. The tour consists of a 5 km circuit of the area, whose goal will be to finish on the east side of the National Stadium.
Costa Rica’s edition brings the country the original format of the run. Every kilometer, the Color Runners will get covered in one of the four colors: Blue (1 km), Green (2 km), Yellow (3 km) and Pink (4 km).
As is typical, the hypoallergenic powders of The Color Run are a fundamental part of the race and are responsible for the streaks of color that are reflected in the clothing and bodies of the participants. In Costa Rica 5,500 kilos of equipment will be launched.
To participate, the run costs 15,000 colones. The points of sale are enabled stores GEF Curridabat, Lincoln Plaza, Avenida Escazú, Multicenter, Mango Square and Paseo de las Flores. Those interested can also register online at the website of the Global SportX Group, the race organizer.
Children under 6 years old can attend for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult officially enrolled.
The objective of the activity is to create music programs in schools for children in the countries where the race takes place.
