Costa Rica Public Works Approves Another Reduction in the Price of Propane and Gasoline

The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Regulatory Authority for Public Services (ARESEP) has approved a reduction in the price of gas this week: ¢49 for regular gasoline, ¢43 for super, and ¢48 for diesel.

This means that regular gasoline will decrease from ¢552 to ¢503 per liter, super will go from ¢580 to ¢537, and diesel will drop from ¢522 to ¢474.

Liquefied propane gas for cooking will also see a small discount, going from ¢258 to ¢243 per liter.

Since the second half of 2014 there have been seven consecutive reductions in the price of fuels, mainly due to the fall in the international price of oil. This is the second decrease in 2015. (Amelia Rueda)
